As part of its mission of promoting the use of GIS in its member states, MAGIC has provided funding for numerous efforts over the past several years. Because there has been revenue generated from past conferences, and as a non-profit entity, the group feels that it must continue with this practice.

MAGIC 2012


MAGIC 2012 was held in Kansas City, April 22 - 26. As the premier conference in the region, MAGIC promotes the advancement of GIS and geospatial technologies by focusing on today's key issues and challenges.

What is MAGIC?

In addition to sponsoring the biennial MidAmerica GIS Symposium, the Consortium also sponsors important GIS projects around the region. Projects can be industry specific, such as emergency management, remote sensing and addressing, or they can be related to GIS policy, standards and architecture.
