MAGIC Addressing
Home :: Outreach :: AddressingAs the human services-related applications (education, welfare, public safety, emergency response, etc.) of GIS technology have grown, a parallel need has also grown for street centerline-address databases. The key to utilizing the power of GIS technology to display, analyze and integrate databases based on their street addresses is the availability of a current and comprehensive street centerlines database with associated attribute data that provides accurate address ranges. The goal of the Addressing/Roads/Streets committee is to coordinate and support the activities of those in the MAGIC Region to develop and maintain databases of street centerlines and associated attribute data that provides accurate address ranges for street and road segments.
If you have questions or ideas, you may contact the Addressing & Road Chair, Jim Langtry.
