Program Manager, Kansas Department of Health and Environment

The Program Manager, working by direction of the Office of Primary Care and Rural Health, will work closely with other KDHE sections and programs and use GIS to map the Kansas Statewide Farmworker Health Program Access Points, Critical Access Hospitals, Federally Qualified Health Centers and Look-Alikes, Rural Health Clinics, Rural EMS services, and Healthcare Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA) for Primary Care, Dental, and Behavioral Health. This project is estimated to last two years. The Project Manager will use ArcGIS through Esri. to give quick visual and searchable information for all citizens in Kansas. This position will also assist in highlighting HPSA Rational Service Areas and any areas of needed change. This position will also collaborate with other Office of Primary Care and Rural Health staff in bringing program resources to rural areas and in the promotion of a new GIS resource.

Along with strong organization skills and computer skills, including solid knowledge of GIS applications/development tools as applicable, the applicant should prove the ability to work independently and work as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail as evidenced by application material, references, and Teams interviews.
