Position: Miscellaneous Professional - Geographic Information System (part-time)
Salary: $15.00 per hour
Location: State Capitol Building - Cole County

Work Schedule: Work days and hours are flexible M-F, 8a.m. – 5p.m.; Not to exceed 28 hours per week.
Job Description
- The Office of Administration, Division of Budget & Planning has part-time Geographic Information System work. This is a technical position requiring established GIS skills. The initial phase of the project will involve acquiring the 2016 voting precinct boundaries from each county and compiling them in electronic (GIS) format to create a seamless statewide file of voting districts. Additional collection and compiling for voting districts for 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2018 will follow.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Extensive experience with GIS, including completed course work and exposure to GIS outside the classroom environment.
- Projects, papers, research, etc. that demonstrate the candidate’s proficiency in GIS.
- Individuals who have attained certificates/certifications in the geospatial sciences.
- Certified geographic information system professionals (GISP certification).
Experience and Education
- Graduate students with undergraduate degrees that included significant course work in GIS and/or completed graduate coursework in GIS related studies
